Scepter of Judah
COMMENTARY
In order to set the stage for debate, we have asked that our two
primary participants submit statements on a variety of major topics
that are causes of controversy in the Middle Eastern theater of
political conflict. In the future, we may ask others to also join the
discussion in a formal capacity. But for now, the expertise and
extrovertive energy of Counselor Stephen Locke and Messianic
Rabbi Elijah ben-David will suffice to stimulate our listeners and
draw the participation of many by comments and questions.

So that these two esteemed gentlemen may have the added
incentive to intellectually respond to each others' introductory
literary submissions, we drew lots to decide whose presentation
would be submitted first, then the other could respond relative to
the first arguments presented.

Elijah was asked to draw the lot, as Elijah was invited by Stephen
to offer his arguments in favor of the minority position. The lot
determined that Stephen would submit his intellectual presentation
first, and Elijah will respond. Then Stephen will articulate his
response, and so forth.

Our great variety of topics are issues that cause events in the State
of Israel to draw the impassioned attention of virtually every nation
on earth proactive in international politics. After the submissions of
approximately a dozen literary pieces, these two gentlemen will
meet face-to-face for discussions and debate, inviting public
participation through question and answer sessions.

The precedents set forth by the submission of these statements will
facilitate a more lively and deeply involved debate from the first
official meeting of these two leading experts, and hopefully, for
many meetings yet to come over the next several years.

This Scepter of Judah Commentary (SJC) will sort the positions of
each writer and provide a clear analysis in accord with the official
judgments and opinions of the Scepter of Judah Millennial Literary
Project.

This Project views Counselor Locke as a capable and sincere
protagonist for peoples who are the victims of violence and who
are enduring an under-privileged economic status possibly
exacerbated by injustices perpetrated by the powers that be.
Counselor Locke says he knows that the secular State of Israel
deserves to be humbled by world events that place the Zionist
cause in the light of untimely aggression and reactionary sentiment.
The cause of Zionism in Palestine is, according to Counselor
Locke, convoluted by the indiscreet zeal of militarists who are
primarily responsible for all violence in the Holy Land.

This Project views Rabbi Elijah as a devoted representative of a
minority position that may be termed Messianic Zionist, or
Scriptural Zionist, or even Theocratic Zionist. Elijah believes that
the modern State of Israel is in accord with the Will of God, the
Restoration of the Kingdom of David in Millennial Society. Elijah
believes that the Jewish Messiah Emmanuel,  the nations' Jesus
Christ, will now return to this planet and restore Zion's Millennial,
Davidic Kingdom in fulfillment of Acts 1:6,7 and Jeremiah 31:6,7.

Through preliminary, non-conflictual discussions with these two
gentlemen, this Project has evaluated each man to be of the utmost
sincerity, integrity, capability, and intelligence. Counselor Locke
writes first of
The Occupation of Palestine by the Zionists whose
modern State of Israel was established in May 1948.
